  9. Class 9-1: Make a Presentation about One Web 2.0 Resource During the August 7 Online Class Session

Class 10: Make a Final Blog Posting about using the Connect Pro videoconferencing system after we attempt to use it with the entire class on August 7

Information about the Final Project & Project Report

The Final Project is due on Monday, August 4, 2008, and each student will demonstrate their project to other members of the course.


The Final Semester Project is worth a maximum of 35 points and will be graded as follows:

Final Project Report and Presentation - worth a maximum of 10 points

The Final Project Report should be submitted as a word processed document and should address the following:

  1. Briefly describe the topic of your final project and discuss the major objectives of the project.
     
  2. Why did you select this topic?
     
  3. Who is the intended audience for the project?
     
  4. How do you think the project could be used in an educational setting?
     
  5. What software programs did you use in creating this project?
     
  6. What hardware did you use in creating this project?
       
  7. Describe any challenges you faced in creating this project.
     
  8. Do you feel that the project is complete, needs more work, or should a new topic be chosen and re-done? If you feel it needs more work, please list some of the major areas you feel should be addressed first.
     
  9. What were the most significant things you learned from from completing the final project?
     
  10. Please add any other information you feel would help describe your work on this project.

Class 9 Hands-On Assignment:

Continue working on your final project and be prepared to demonstrate a preliminary version of your project. The final version will must be submitted by midnight on Thursday, August 7, 2008.

Submission options include:


In preparation for the final class meeting of the semester, which will take place as an online videoconference session, you should explore the Web 2.0 resources that are listed under your name. You should post a comment under the Class Eight Assignment on the course blog at: http://cuin7376m.blogspot.com/ in which you briefly describe the sites you explored and indicate whether or not you think the site is useful.

Then be prepared to make a brief presentation about ONE of the sites during the online session on Thursday, August 7, 2008, beginning at 5:00pm.
